Qi, or Ch'i, is universal lifeforce energy. It is the chinese equivalent to the "ki" in Reiki. This life force energy is what makes us whole and hearty, or in dis-ease and weak. Not limited to the physical health or dis-ease we can experience, it is also an influence on our emotional and psychological well-being.
When our Qi is out of sorts, either blocked, imbalanced or otherwise not working in the proper manner, we can experience negative effects. Perhaps our thinking has become clouded, or our overall health is suffering. By attuning and repairing Qi, we can create pathways to a more productive life. An attunment is not a substitute for medial or psychological care. An attunement can enhance these processes, however, by aligning the Qi with the body and the earth. Attunements provide grounding and centering which is essential to finding one's way through any endeavor.

Blocked Chakra
|
Each of the chakras, the centers of spiritual power in the human body, has its own color and symbol. The chakras are not stationary, but living, moving forces. When they are blocked or spinning slowly, they can effect many systems associated with them. To the left is an interpretive image of a blocked heart chakra, although everyone's chakras are unique to them. The dull colors of this chakra indicates it is blocked, while a completly muted or "black" image may indicate it has stopped spinning entirely. A healthy chakra, pictured to the right, is bright and hearty and spinning without obstruction or interruption. An attunment will bring each of the chakras, and the source Qi, back into alignment.

The attunment process can take many forms. One of our practitioners, Sharaya Kai, uses polarity techniques and cystals, while Tilly and Carrie Anne use the art of Theta healing to accomplish the balancing. Depending upon the number of chakras needing attention and the overall Qi of each individual, the process can take from 30 minutes to several hours.
